Founded in 1971, our school is located in Ramsgate, an English seaside resort in the county of Kent, South East England. It is in the perfect location. Spencer Square is a 19th century square looking out onto the sea. It is in a quiet residential area of the town, yet only 10 minutes from the centre where you will find all the necessary facilities, such as shops and sporting facilities. Ramsgate is easily accessible with good transport links to London, by train and road. Furthermore, the channel Tunnel is a mere 35 minutes away.
The school is and independent language school with over 35 years experience in quality teaching and excellent service. It focuses on high quality learning, accommodation and leisure activities, to make the students stay as productive as possible, for great value for money. Many students that pass through the door of our school have heard of it through word of mouth, the best form of recommendation. The school is a member of ENGLISH UK, and QUALITY ENGLISH. It is also accredited by the British Council, which carries out inspections of premises, staff, teaching, management and welfare. Our school was also the first language school in the UK to gain the international quality standard ISO9002.
The students are invited to use the school’s many facilities. There are two buildings of the school, the Spencer Buildings where the administration offices are located, as well as the student’s bookshop and garden. Across the square you will find the main classroom buildings, the modern Executive Centre and the Paragon building. The classrooms are bright, designed to maximise enjoyment during student lessons. The Paragon building is where students will find many classrooms, the language laboratory, video/DVD rooms, Individual Learning Centre and the Internet café, with free access. The school also has its own clubroom, which has various facilities including video and DVD facilities, pool table and free internet connection. Furthermore, this is where you will find a tavern which is owned by the school, a perfect place to relax after classes, meet other students and experience a traditional English pub!
