Our english school in Bath

Our year-round school, on Trim Street, is located in the historic General Wolfe's House, an early 18th century town house in the very heart of the city. (General Wolfe captured Quebec in a famous battle in 1742). Our second building on Milsom Street is two minutes' walk from our Trim Street building and offers more spacious classrooms.

Activities

A weekly programme is offered throughout the year with a minimum of two evening activities per week and one excursion every weekend. During July and August, there are optional afternoon and evening activities organised. Excursions include trips to Oxford, Warwick Castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Cardiff, Stonehenge and Bristol. Regular weekend excursions are also organised to London.

Bath has so much to offer and we want you to see as much as possible during your stay. The school organises trips to Stratford-upon-Avon, home of Shakespeare; the lively commercial centre of Bristol, with its shopping area and famous zoo; the world famous city of Oxford; delightful villages in the Cotswolds and other surrounding beauty spots. London is only 90 minutes away by train.

Whatever time of year you choose to come, our student services staff are on hand to offer practical advice and suggestions about what to do in your free time. They will also help in making hotel and transport reservations, booking theatre and concert tickets and can confirm your coach ticket and flight reservations at the end of your stay.

We negotiate with local suppliers so our students get the best rates for cycle and car hire. Student discounts can be obtained from shops in the area on production of an International House Student Card.

Every week the social activites manager organises an optional programme of half-day and full-day excursions, afternoon sports and evening activities.
